Welcome
Welcome to my site! I am a faculty member at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, HCMC University of Technology and Education. I also work as a Research Assistant for diverse research projects at University of Windsor.
My Ph.D. is in Educational Studies from University of Windsor, Canada. I earned a master's degree in TESOL from HCMC Open University and a bachelor's degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and Teacher Education from HCMC University of Technology and Education.
With 10+ years of experience teaching adult learners from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, I have consistently proven myself as an outstanding and young promising teacher. I excel in nurturing student-teacher relationships, maintaining a professional demeanor, and demonstrating unwavering dedication to create an inclusive learning environment for students, ensuring their engagement and success.
As a researcher with 15+ years of experience, I have executed various empirical studies at institutional, national, and international levels, leveraging both quantitative and qualitative methodologies and utilizing MaxQDA and R for data analysis. My research centers on TESOL, international students, student belonging and success, acculturation, intercultural competencies, and digital learning.

Employing an explanatory sequential mixed-methods design, my dissertation research explores international students' acculturation experiences. Through a four-dimension analytical framework, my research captures the multifaceted nature of international student experiences across different levels of analysis - from individual agency to systemic influences. This framework offers practical utility for researchers, educators, and institutional leaders to analyze international student experiences, identify areas of intervention, and develop more effective support strategies. My research, therefore, illuminates the complex interplay between individual characteristics, cultural background, and host country factors in shaping international students’ experiences at both personal, interpersonal, structural, and cultural level.
My research has been published in prestigious journals and is presented at international conferences, including AERA, ASHE, CSSE, OTESA, CIES, LTLT, CAPS-I, CIESC, and GERC. I . My career goal is to become an independent and experienced researcher in Educational and Cultural Studies while also being a dedicated educator committed to creating a creative, innovative, and inclusive learning environment.
